- Bridges to Better Business 2008 presented by the Regional Business Centre - Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel (Sudbury)

The Radisson's Palladium Room was packed for this one, and with good reason. This was one of the best networking events for local entrepreneurs and business people. With a diverse array of speakers and networking opportunities, there was something for everyone, and a nice lunch, at a very reasonable price. Even Mayor John Rodriguez (City of Greater Sudbury) was in attendance, addressing the group with some inspirational words.

I had a great time and enjoyed seeing all of the new and familiar faces. This event was a lot of fun, and I am looking forward to the next one. - Heidi

A sunny spring day at Dynamic Earth set the tone for this After Business event. Sudbury's business community got together to network, enjoy good food, and welcome the newest Sudbury Chamber of Commerce members.

PDC would like to thank all of the people who stopped by our booth. PDC would also like to congratulate Jillian Hughes-Ospina, from Grade Expectations Learning Centres^® (www.gradeexpectations.ca), who won our door-prize. Congratulations Jillian!

- After Business session presented by Sudbury Chamber of Commerce - April 9, 2008 at Host United Way (105 Elm Street, Suite E-6)

The Chamber members and the local business community, including PDC, were out to promote their businesses and support a great organization, United Way. Thank you to all of the people who stopped by to tell us about their projects. We are especially looking forward to the next After Business, at Dynamic Earth, which will focus on new members. We invite all inventors to stop by our booth and talk to us about their next steps.

With St. Patrick's Day coming, we were looking forward to seeing everyone in their green. But, unfortunately, it wasn't to be. As sometimes happens, we had a last minute appointment that could not be missed. We're looking forward to the next After Business session on April 9th, and we encourage local inventors to come out and meet us and everyone in the local business community. Spring is coming; see you in April.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, the After Business event had a hint of romance in the air. From the champagne and strawberries to the giant Valentine's Day card, it wasn't all business. Thanks very much to all the people who stopped by our booth, and congratulations to Kim LeTourneau from REMAX Crown Realty who won our prize draw. See you next month.

- Canadian Toy & Hobby Fair presented by Canadian Toy Association - January 26-28, 2008 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (Front Street)

PDC was at the show to represent one of our products, and we had a great time; it's hard not to in a room full of toys and games. The CTA show was "industry only" and was not open to the public. It was an excellent opportunity to meet and talk with industry insiders. We met many nice people and made some excellent contacts. Thanks to Canadian Toy Association for putting on a great show.

- After Business session presented by Sudbury Chamber of Commerce - December 5, 2007 at Tom Davies Square

This was our first event with the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, and we were impressed by how everyone was so friendly. Aside from being an excellent networking function, the After Business events provide a supportive environment for new businesses. The After Business events also provide us with an opportunity to talk with inventors in person. We had a lot of fun and look forward to our next event in February.
